I Stand Alone 1998

The butcher, known from Karen's short film, after beating up a boy who tried to seduce his mentally challenged teenage daughter, spent some time in prison. Now, he wants to start a new life. He abandons his daughter in an institution and moves to the suburbs of Lille with his mistress, promising her a new butcher shop, but he lies. The butcher decides to return to Paris to find his daughter.
